The second Test in Colombo is the 100th Test for Bangladesh and could very well prove to be the added boost that the team needs to get back into the series and find the leveller. After the 259 run loss in Galle, Bangladesh need to pull through and started off nicely on the opening day with four wickets in the first session after Sri Lanka opted to bat first. The post-lunch session hinged towards the hosts but Bangladesh drew back in the final session. Dinesh Chandimal’s fighting 86 kept Sri Lanka going. The pitch, however, won’t make it easy for Bangladesh and the weather, once again, could play a part in the next four days.
